    EVENT PACKAGES

    Our event packages are unique, a team member will be there for your first group booking (if you want us to). They’ll share tips and tricks and help you through any questions. You can consider this your trial tan. We highly encourage using it for something like a hens, bridal shower or any event you have! We also offer an optional champagne package for one or both sessions, with a selection of premium champagnes.

    The pack includes two tanning sessions:

    1st Session – we suggest coming in anywhere up to 2 months before the special occasion. This is a trial tan to determine the best shade and ensure even application.

    2nd Session – the week of the event. The final tan to achieve a perfect, fresh glow. We recommend scheduling this session 2 days prior to the event.

  • HOW IT WORKS

    1. Download the Sugarcoat App
      Download the app from the Apple app store or the Google Play store, create an account and purchase a service that suits you!
    2. Book your Tan
      Make a booking for a time that suits you. Don’t forget, we offer $25 tans for timeslots between 12.30am – 3.30am.
    3. Arrive
      Once you arrive at our studio, open the app and click ‘check in’. Hold your phone up to our Bluetooth readers to gain access.
    4. Time to Tan
      Check in to your allocated tan room, select your tan and step into the booth to start. You’ll be guided by voice, as well as instructions placed within the booth. In four easy poses and four short minutes, you’ll be done!

  • AT YOUR APPOINTMENT

    1. Remove any clothing and jewellery.
    2. Put on the hair cap provided, leaving your ears and hairline exposed.
    3. Apply barrier cream to palms of hands, wrists, nails, and ankles.
    4. Choose your desired sun-kissed glow from the tan menu (located in the waiting area, in the tan booth room, or online), then input the corresponding number into the box on the front of the booth and hit the blue start button. The booth will activate and get ready for your session.

  • Step inside and press the green flashing button to initiate. Follow the voice prompts for a seamless walk through of the four effortless poses.

    AFTER

    If a darker shade is chosen, wipe down your face and hands 30 minutes post spray tan.

COLOUR GUIDE

Our tans are formulated to suit all skin types and tones. Your desired depth and preferred application method will dictate the colour and shade you choose. Our tans come in light, medium, and dark options for your convenience.

  • Sugar Rush (Rapid)
    Achieve a deep tan with cool and violet undertones as the main tones. This formula allows for a 3-hour rinse off for optimal results.

    Caramel Dream
    Infused with warm brown hues and cool violet undertones, our formula delivers a deep bronze tan. Enjoy the tan for 8 hours before rinsing off for optimal results. On its highest level, this is our darkest tan.

  • Cocoa Dream
    Our cosmic bronzer is designed to impart warm brown undertones, without any violet undertones. Enjoy the tan for 8 hours before rinsing off for optimal results.

    Honey Glow (Clear)
    Applies clear to eliminate concerns about colour transfer. Rinse after 8 hours, and experience gradual development over the next 24 hours.

TIPS

Expert tips for achieving an effortless tan.

  • Day before your tan

    Exfoliate and Remove Old Spray Tan
    Ideally, the day before or at least 4 hours prior to your session, use an oil-free body exfoliant, tan eraser foam, or seek professional exfoliating items available in our smart vending machine.

    Wax and Shave
    Ensure you wax or shave at least 24 hours in advance with a fresh, high-quality razor to allow your skin to settle. Shaving or waxing too close to your appointment may lead to tan seepage, skin irritation, and potential dark spots.

    Complete other Beauty Treatments
    Schedule any spa treatments, brow shaping, facials, or nail services at least 24 hours before your tan to avoid interference with the tanning process caused by certain products, lotions, or oils applied during these treatments.

  • Day of your tan

    Showering
    It's recommended to shower at least 4 hours before your tan to allow your PH levels to neutralize. If you need to shower just before your tan, opt for a cold shower or run cold water for the last 30 seconds to minimize pores.

    Clean and dry skin
    Come to your appointment with clean, dry skin, free from makeup, perfume, deodorant, or moisturizers. Certain products can interfere with the tanning formula's absorption.

    Wear dark, Loose clothing
    Opt for dark, loose-fitting clothing and shoes that won't rub your tan. Note that bronzer in some solutions may transfer to clothing, but it is water-soluble and should wash out.

  • Do I need an account to make a booking?
    Absolutely. To access our studio, every client must have an account. Your account is the key to gaining entry via Bluetooth.

    What is automated/contactless tanning?
    Automated spray tanning involves a machine that delicately sprays a fine mist of tanning solution, creating a quick, easy, and evenly natural-looking tan.

    Where is Sugarcoat Tanning Studio located?
    Discover us at 238 Unley Road, Unley. There is ample parking right out front of our studio. This section of the road is a clearway between 7.30am - 9.30am. If there are no spaces out front of our studio, street parking can be found on Hart Ave.

    How long will my spray tan last?
    The duration varies based on care. Without moisturizing, expect 5-7 days. With moisturizing, enjoy 7-10 days. Use tan-safe body wash, avoid perfumes directly on the skin.

    I’m worried I'm going to choose the wrong colour.
    With numerous options, all our tans are beautiful and suited for everyone. Explore our colour guide or seek assistance if needed.

    How many days prior should I get my tan?
    We recommend getting your spray tan 2 days before you need it for full development. Even if you tan 1 day prior, you'll achieve a beautiful colour.

    How do I enter the studio?
    With an account and a booking, access the studio via our app, Sugarcoat Tanning Studio. When you arrive at our studio, hit 'check-in' on your app. This will activate the bluetooth to our doors. Hold your phone up to the relevant reader and you will gain access.

    I don't want my face tanned... how do I avoid this?
    Wear one of our breathable, see-through disposable hair nets over your face. If any solution gets on your face, use the provided wipes to remove it.

    How long does the booth take to apply my spray tan?
    Our super-quick booth completes the tan in around 4 minutes within a 20-minute time slot for your preparation and post-tan routine.

    Which tanning solution is in use?
    We've carefully curated our tanning products to not only impart a flawlessly bronzed glow but also promote skin health. Our non-toxic solutions boast premium ingredients, are entirely paraben-free, cruelty-free, gluten-free, sulfate-free, 100% vegan, and won't clog your pores.

    How Do I Use My Tan Pack Membership?
    After purchasing your tan pack through the ‘membership’ section:

    1. Return to the homepage on the app.
    2. Tap ‘Book a Tan’.
    3. Select the ‘Tan Peak Time $0’ option, which shows your purchased package.
    4. Choose your timeslot and follow the prompts to confirm.
